Git on Windows
We use Git for our standard source control (except for any VFP work we do where we still use Visual SourceSafe) despite the lack of a great Windows client. Mostly I personally use GitHub for Windows even though we don’t host our projects on GitHub (we prefer to use Assembla hosting) as it has a wonderfully simple to use interface… once you get it working. One day I’ll actually write down the process of setting up a new PC, although it is certainly simpler with domain accounts. I still haven’t got the hang of branching and merging successfully in GH4W, so I tend to use Git Extensions for that bit.
